Check out Zach explaining what is going on our current project in Falling Waters WV. We are building a walkway and driveway apron on this project and he explains the importance of base depth, fabrics, drive grid, and drainage. Stay tuned this will be a fun one!

Here is a project we completed over the last few days. We installed 14 tons of 6-8” Hanson River gravel in this drainage swale to help better with drainage and mowing. We also installed an aluminum edging along both sides to seperate the gravel from grass. Turned out great! 🏔️💪🏻

Let’s talk paver joint fill..
If you have a paver failure it is usually going to be in the edge, or in the joints. We have a great solution for the edge, so over the last 9 years we have been on a search for the solution for the joints. We can confidently say we think we found it. There’s really 2 types of commonly used joint fill in our industry. Polymeric sand and more recently wet resin sands. We started on using them both, and just was not happy with either one. This is what led us to epoxy jointing mortars. While this is not new to the industry it is fairly new to the US market. These products have been being used for over 50 years in Germany with great success. It took me a while to research before finally giving it a shot. They set up hard as a rock. You also do not get the issue of weeds and moss that come with other products like polymeric sand. While wet sands still have their place we have found that they can leave a sand grit behind. Yes they are much more expensive, but you get what you pay for! We are happy to have been the first ones in our market installing this product, and moving forward it will mostly be all we use. My job as a contractor is to always try to give the best results to my customers. I know this post was long, but I do feel this is something that needs light shined on it. If you’re looking to have a hardscape project completed ask us about our jointing process!

Another excellent five star review!
“I think when it comes to investing in something as transformational as a hardscaping project, the quality of the individual behind the work is just as important as the quality of the materials and design. Yes, at the end of the day you are buying the end product of a patio, walkway, retaining wall, etc., but I'll tell you why it should be an easy decision to choose Keegan and Mountain Strong for your next project.
A year ago, we had only just met Keegan, and over the course of 3 projects since, we have had the pleasure of really getting to know him well. Keegan is truly a stand-out, family-oriented guy who gives back to his community and takes genuine pride in what he builds. Those values are definitely what drives his business, and you feel that in the way he approaches his work. He won't cut corners (unless you ask for curves in your design!), and he'll check up on his workmanship year after year. Checks all of the boxes for the exact kind of business owner we should all want in our corner. We're proud to be his customers and proud to show off his awesome work to visitors for years to come” ~ Catherine Keller ... See MoreSee Less

Here is a project we have been working on over the last week just outside of Shepherdstown WV. We built a sitting wall and pillar to add more sitting and added on to this patio. We also added an edge stone and decorative stone on the back side of the wall to knock down some of the mowing. This is our third phase on this project, and we will be back to complete another phase! This is a prime project to demonstrate that projects can be phased out if designed correctly. 🏔️💪🏻
